Everything made by LilNiceWolf October 31 2009.Follow me on http://twitter.com/LilNiceWolf .I came up with the idea and started working yesterday the 29 th.As usual it takes much longer than planned,two long days trying to get around problems with drawing.A sequence in the middle is with an axe stabbing a pumpkin head to two pieces is done by using traditional light board technique,the special angle was hard to give natural movement look with automatic tweening and other computer facility.I fail to make a perfect perspective,its unusually narrow and picky for details.My last resort was to use the sketch pad and graphite mechanical pencil to do the job.By holding a bit of paper with a model,I could simulate and read by sight for moves actually happening as with photo or slow burst.Using hand made stuff,I manually transferred each frame to the appropriate position.The base for the speaking vegetable was a man speaking to a digital camera without sound at a distance of about 50 centi meter equal to 1 foot 8 inches.The room was dark and the first clip was a disaster being dark brown and grainy,it can be saved with beta or gamma correction but better gear was found.Taking off the window cloth made some sun ray beams enter the face which should be filmed.Its a FUJIFILM A200 A202 only capable of the lowest resolution of 320 x 240.The result was satisfying for professional use.In Toon Boom Studio,the avi stream was converted to single raw tga frames suitable for processing in animation software,flash and alike.A circle reminded of a ball was created to mimic an alien creature.By transforming paths,the round thing followed my gestures when I spoke the lines stored also in some subtitles.Its rare to have eye brows carved but impossible to lose when dealing with human expression.Look in a mirror and you be surprised how much facial muscles are competing against each other simultaneously collaborating to back up the word formed by tongue,throat,teeth and lips.The body language lives mostly above the neck even if arms and hands also are important.Tracking each wrinkle is well known and is often exaggerated by artist making series or movies.Often drawn animals like dogs or cats are given features during dialogue with purpose to bring laughter or smile in the audience or viewers or listeners.My hunting for lanterns it the city of town gave several examples but the best was foreign uploaded by ordinary people in the United States and United Kingdon.The candle gives that special glow that is spooky,scary and causes screaming mainly by teenagers.Sweden has poor tradition but the dealers try pushing horror details for party and holiday dinner.I met a funny girl with blood in her face outside a shop wanting attention from the crowd passing.The background had to be black with orange,green stem,silver gray handle pin and yellow inside by radial gradient color.I recorded using Audacity afterwards trying to fit the pre captured video.The voice was pitch shifted 25 percent to sound like a senior grand woman.Extra effects on high notes with reverb.Deep laughter at the end also uses this modification.Sorry but tis is made entirely in mono toshring the file and making the transcoding quick.The specification is 1280 width and 720 height with a progressive frame rate of 12 per second.The three thumbnails could have been better but I am stressed and have no time to optimize for premium quality and sensational counts,this is a parenthesis just to be back.
